PORTFOLIO
Showcase Your Skills with
a Personal Portfolio
At TUMO, we focus on what truly matters: your skills and creativity. Instead of report cards and diplomas, TUMO provides you (the student) with an online portfolio to catalog your achievements. This portfolio highlights your best work and projects, providing a tangible demonstration of your abilities. It’s a powerful tool to show what you can do, whether you’re applying to universities, jobs, or simply sharing your achievements with friends and family.
Throughout your time at TUMO, you’ll continually add your most impressive work to your portfolio, which remains yours to showcase even after you’ve completed the program.
Check out a few examples of outstanding student work from TUMO centers around the world:
To honor the 700th anniversary of Dante’s death, TUMOians animated the three parts of Dante’s Divine Comedy: Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven and created the first Armenian maps describing them in Shamiram Khachatryan’s lab.
TUMOians in the Level 1 Video Game workshop create fantastical worlds like this through the Unity platform. After adding characters and writing code, you can use them to discover new worlds and fight off bad guys.
In Maya Martirossyan’s lab, students learned about how to build simulations from physics principles. Students made 3D mini-games with VPython, where they programmed in the physics of moving objects. They also performed computer experiments using classical physics simulations – Monte Carlo and Molecular dynamics – to study the assembly and ordering in systems of particles.
Two filmmaking learning labs joined forces to create a commercial for TUMO Studios! Students in Maksym Getman and Kirill San’s lab focused on all things film production, from researching the role of light and sound to working with cameras to bring their vision to life. After the commercial was filmed, Marina Tkachenko’s lab stepped in […]
In Artur Sukiasyan’s level 3 filmmaking workshop, students created a film depicting life at the central park of Gyumri, and of course, its iconic ferris wheel.
This video for “Pstik Papa” was created during cinematographer Mko Malkhasyan’s filmmaking lab. The song is performed by TUMO band TmbaTa with the help of Arik, the lead flutist from the folk-rock band Bambir.
Making music with fruit? TUMOians in Emilien Ghomi’s robotics lab put their heads together to dream up a fantastical array of ideas. One such creation involved connecting several tangerines via cable to a soundboard. Students could then play simple melodies and jingles – with each piece of fruit functioning like a different key on a […]
In a level 3 Graphic Design workshop led by Ani Arakelyan, TUMO Yerevan students branded imaginary museums. During the workshop, students explored how color, shape, typography and other elements highlight the identity of the brand. The branding was added to tickets, tote bags, brochures, and more.
In a lab with award-winning, London based graphic designer Tina Touli, students designed digital posters that incorporate analog elements such as oil and water to create a swim-like effect. They harnessed their graphic design and typography skills to create art that straddles the digital and analog worlds.
In the second lab led by software engineers and founders of Calfa Chahan Vidal and Baptiste Queuche, Yerevan TUMOians digitized Armenian newspapers and manuscripts using AI and developed tools to recognize everything from faces in ancient texts to moving cars on the street. During the lab, students visited the Fundamental Scientific Library of Armenia to […]
Three-time Juno award-winning jazz pianist and composer David Braid just wrapped up a learning lab at TUMO Yerevan! Students produced an experimental jazz track composed by Braid and inspired by traditional Armenian music.
In a workshop led by Mihran Gurunian and Hayk Sakoyan, students used the EV3 programming language to build multifunctional robots with a variety of sensors, displays, and motors.
Once different sets of skills and teamwork come together magic happens; it’s the collaborative effort that brings animation to life. Illustrator and art director Elda Broglio and motion graphics designer Josephine Preumayr joined forces and led learning labs during which TUMOians explored the newest methods and techniques of animation. With Josephina, they learned about motion […]
